Eizo C T-One

I think all of us have used our laptops while in front of the television, and so we use two controllers: a mouse and a remote control.  Now, there is a way to have two controllers on one device. 
The Eizo C T-One is a wireless mouse that comes with nine TV remote control functions including power, channel up/down, volume up/down, broadcast switching, input switching, and even picture-in-picture.  This mouse/controller has a range of about 10 meters, and operates on the 2.4GHz wireless band. The C T-one is powered by two AA batteries, and it will power down after 30 minutes in order to conserve power.  These two batteries will last about three months. 
So far it looks like it will be retailing for ¥12,600, or around $120 US, and although it is scheduled to be available today, we could not find anything about a US availability.

ATLAS Kinetic Cell Phone

Bringing a balance to both form and function is one of the greatest challenges any hardware designer can face, so thankfully we have concepts that allow one's imagination to go wild. The Atlas Kinetic cell phone concept is made out of aluminum and glass, where the central sapphire glass shows off the generating and charging unit. It is powered via kinetic energy just like those found in kinetic-powered watches. Unfortunately, this phone does not push the technological boundary as it comes with most basic of functions, presumably because the amount of power generated isn't enough to run all the other heavy multimedia stuff. At least there's no charger to lug around.

E-paper Slap Bracelet

The Chocolate Agency, which sadly has absolutely nothing to do with delicious cocoa, has designed the conceptual E-Paper Slap Bracelet. It's an MP4 player in which the entire surface acts as a thin, high contrast and energy efficient screen. As an added bonus it needs no charging -- it's powered by the kinetic energy produced by moving your arm. Say, did you know when slap bracelets first came out they were just a piece of rusty metal covered in plastic or cloth? Yeah, me neither, well at least not until the lockjaw set in.

F1/Carbon GMT

Things don't get any more precise than Formula 1, and the concept F1/Carbon GMT watch is definitely a thing of beauty. Inspired by the world of F1, designer John Pszeniczny has decided to throw in a carbon fiber body, Swarovski crystals, rubber and metal into this timepiece that features 18 identical rubies while telling the time in all 18 cities on the 2008 F1 circuit. Other features include a built-in lap timer function and a stopwatch. I suppose if this was released, it will also be one of the fastest wallet emptiers in history, probably hitting $0 from $20,000 in the time you take to swipe your credit card.

CANVAS

More sweet 21-century industrial design! This is Kyle Cherry's new concept of a laptop made for artists and designers with little or no computer experience. With new controls and features this PC makes everything more natural and familiar for non digital designer and artists. The touchpad allows you to use both your hands and a pen (no more external tablets = yay!), and there's a scroll wheel on the left side which allows you to navigate through documents, but it could probably be used for a lot of stuff. Above the scroll wheel there's toolbars and auxiliary to give you an extra hand and lastly there's an extra touchpad or easy rotation of... whatever you want to rotate.





For me, this is probably a bit too much, but it looks really nice! I bet it would be a success if someone made a laptop like this, but we can't really expect anyone to do it, and especially not with a design like this.

iMac iView

The iMac iView is a conceptual product design by Nuno Teixeira. As you can see it's a curved iMac. It looks incredibly similar to a bad idea. But it does have one saving grace - a second screen on the back (picture after the jump). That way your office wall (long left out of computing activities) can feel included in the experience. Or if your computer doesn't back up to a wall, then it provides a great way for your coworkers to know just what porn/non-work related sites you visit all day long. Awesome, I know. But seriously, I think many of you just don't understand the usefulness of this monitor for someone like me -- someone with EYES IN THE BACK OF THEIR HEAD. What do you mean that wouldn't help me see the monitor? Sure it would. The monitor has another screen on the back and my head has eyes on the back. Thusly, according to my most recent scientific calculations, I'm a stupid asshat.

The Costume has been designed by Joongoo Lee and they did a very fine job right here. This 2.5 inch drive is designed for ladies. The Costume will bring style, portability and efficiency to any woman who needs a good-looking storage solution around at all times.
There aren’t particular features yet, as this is a concept device yet. Well girls, are you already dreaming about this storage idea? We’ll all have to wait to see if it enters production.
